Tarte Vegan Deodorant: Review

I was pumped when I saw Tarte was coming out with a vegan deodorant! I happen to be a huuuuuge fan of Tarte Cosmetics. Their makeup is incredible and they seem to be coming out with new products left and right lately. I have been reading into the dangers of deodorant as of recently and how vegan options, or organic brands are much better for your long term health. With that being said I jumped at the chance to purchase the new Tarte Clean Queen Deodorant

The packaging is adorable & it’s good sized, so you’re getting a lot of product here. The price is high, coming in at $14. Most vegan or organic products will be a bit more expensive as will high end brands, like Tarte so I figured I would bite the bullet and just buy it.

This smells good, fresh cotton like fragrance. Upon applying it for the first time, it feels smooth and hard, almost waxy. As you start to rub it over your skin it does start to warm up and apply easily. However, it’s a weird texture that seems to rub off super easily. I ran the deodorant stick over my forearm to give you an idea of how it looks. It’s white and patchy, not transfer proof and I alwaaaayyyysss wear black.

I have to be honest, as much as I wanted to love this, I just don’t. I’ve worn this for the past few days and have been getting wet spots on my shirts and I seriously don’t feel like the scent has any staying power. It is scented, but it just doesn’t last. Unfortunately, I give this a big thumbs down 😩 I seriously loooove Tarte so I hate to say it, but I want to bring everyone honest reviews. I’ve seen a ton of hype over this product, and I just don’t think it’s worth $14. Maybe it works for some people, but not me.

Thanks for reading. Don’t forget to follow me on Instagram.
