Ipsy Unboxing: April 2018

I love subscription boxes soooooo incredibly much! This week my Ipsy Glam Bag came in and of course I ripped it open in a frenzy to see what this months bag contained! If you are unfamiliar with Ipsy, it is a subscription service that sends 4-5 items per month for $10. The items range is size and price. I feel Ipsy is kind of hit or miss. Some months are spectacular and some are a little lackluster. Lets jump right into the April glam bag!

Cosmetics Bag

Although this isn’t really my personal style, I do think this bag is really cute! The butterflies are perfect for spring and the rose gold accents make more this stylish/sophisticated.

NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream in Stockholm

I own this already and I really love it! Any soft peachy nudes are typically my go to lip colors so this is a staple n my collection. I love the formula on this, it is creamy, smooth and super pigmented! Although it is a matte, its a soft matte meaning its more or a velvet finish which is not overly drying. This doesn’t emphasis texture of the he lips either so if your lips are chapped, this will still apply well. I am very happy to receive this in my glam bag!

The Vintage Cosmetics Tweezers

The packaging on this is so cute, I love the mix or floral and polka dots- the vintage patterns work perfectly for the brand name. These tweezers are a good shape and weight. I used them this morning and they grabbed and removed the brow hairs easy peasy! I hate when tweezers are too rounded and the hairs just slip around and wont pluck- thats not the case with these, they have a sharp angled edge that works really well!

The color of this is gorgeous too, I love rose gold and these look super cute on my vanity.

Lip Scrub

I love that there’s a lip scrub in this months glam bag. Its a great item to have in your makeup collection in general. I don’t know if I’m going to open this because I already have a ton of lip scrubs, but if I didn’t I would be excited to get this is a subscription box. Especially this time of year with the weather still cold (in my area at least), its great to receive skin care/dry skin products to refresh before the summer!

H2O+ Beauty Oasis Hydrating Treatment

The texture of this is very gel like, not creamy or lotion-y at all. This does spread pretty far so a small squeeze covered my face. It feels very soothing and slick when applying and does take a few minutes to dry down. I would say this has a slight tacky feeling on the skin, but it actually seemed to work pretty well as a primer for my makeup because of that slight stickyness. This has a strange smell that I just can’t place but it’s not terrible smell. Be mindful using this because I slapped it on all willy nilly and ended up getting it in my eye and it burned pretty awful! That was totally my fault and no fault of the product. I actually am really enjoying this, it’s very hydrating!

Paula Dorf Bronzer in Bora Bora

This is definitely a semi-shimmery bronzer. It isn’t super noticeable on the face but keep that in mind if you prefer a very matte bronzer/contour. This soft brown color works really well for my pale skin. Theres no orange haze or any weird color change on the skin. This blends out pretty easily too! I’ve never used this brand before but I am pleasantly surprised at how much I am loving this.

This months bag is pretty great! I am loving all of my items this month and and so happy to have successes with these brands I have never used before! What did you guys get in your glam bags this month? Let me know in the comments!

Thanks so much for reading!

Ipsy Unboxing: March 2018

My Ipsy Glam bag came in last night and of course I wanted to share the goodies with you all! I love unboxing subscriptions, it;s always nice surprised to see what you’ll get on a monthly basis. If you are unfamiliar with Ipsy, it is $10 a month for 4-5 beauty items. Products range in size (samples- full size) and range in price (drugstore- high end). Let’s jump in the March 2018 Ipsy Glam Bag!

Cosmetics Bag

This bag is cute and creative! The idea is to color this in the create a custom bag. The fact that this comes with markers is even cuter! I have Converse sneakers like this that I colored in with highlighters so they would be neon and it was a lot of fun! I like the idea of this bag a ton, however I don’t see myself using it on a day to day basis.

City Color Cosmetics Glow Duo

Product screenshot from Ipsy.com

City Color is a super inexpensive brand, this Glow Duo is only $5.99. This comes with two products, a cream highlight and a powder highlight. The pans are a generous size so if you are into this kind of duo, I think its a great value for only $6! I honestly don’t see myself using this at all for two reasons. The first is I’m not big on cream products. The second is the color on of the powder- it looks pretty but dark. I prefer a bright peachy highlight (I am obsessed with Jeffree Star Peach Goddess Skin Frost, its my FAVORITE highlight).

Meg Cosmetics Good Night PM Mask

Product screenshot from Ipsy.com

First of all, I love that any time Ipsy includes a sheet face mask, they send two! This is a PM mask, meaning you would use it before bed. This have moisturizing properties so I was excited to try this but there is avocado in these which I am sadly allergic to. The packaging on these face masks are really nice They are heavy and feel high-end. These masks are $6 each. I’m 100 % interested in trying these out so I’m going to check online for ones that do not have avocado.

Tarte Cosmetics Sex Kitten Liner

Product screenshot from Ipsy.com

This product is one I am familiar with in liquid form. I use the Tarte’s Sex Kitten Liquid Liner pretty often and like it a lot. I’m glad to try the pencil version. It looks super pigmented! I typically use Tarte stick liners, the Double Take Liner has liquid on one end and a pencil on the other- that’s my daily go to. I will say its nice to receive a product from a brand like Tarte in an Ipsy bag!

SLMiss Glam SL41 Blusher Blush

Product screenshot from Ipsy.com

This brush is really cute. The handle is pink and sparkly and even the bristles are pink! I currently own 7 million brushes so I’m not too sure if I’ll open this one. I use the Luxie Blush Brush for my makeup every day and I love it. I do think this SLMissGlam brush is cute and an awesome item to receive in a $10 glam bag! I could not find a price for an individual brush on this company website, they were all listed in bundles. I did see them on eBay listed between $10-20 each but I don’t know how accurate that is.

Doucce Freematic Eyeshadow Mono in Lola

Product screenshot from Ipsy.com

I do not like receiving individual eyeshadows because I never use them. I know I need to just get a z palette and put them all in there but I just would rather grab my Jacklyn x Morphe Palette and call it a day. This color is really beautiful, I just don’t see myself using this often. I popped it out of the cardboard unit to see the pan size and its TINYYYYYY. Like, tiny tiny.

This value is definitely over $10. I dont see myself using these products much so this wasn’t my favorite Ipsy bag ever- but not the worst.

I know I’ve mentioned this before, but I might cancel Ipsy… I just redeemed the points I’ve been accumulating online (I grabbed a pink clay face mask!) so I am definitely going to be getting an Ipsy Glam Bag next month so that I can receive my points prize. After that, I’m not too sure what my future holds as far as Ipsy unboxings. Is there a specific subscription box/bag you would like to see me unbox? I love Boxycharm and Walmart Beauty Box- let me know what others I should try out!

Sorry that I did screenshots for the products this month instead of taking my own product photos. My beauty light broke but I wanted to get this Unboxing post up right away so I hope everyone is okay with these screenshots from Ipsy.com.

Please keep in mind the products I do not use/open/swatch are all future giveaway prizes. I host mostly giveaways on my Instagram so theres a chance you could win some free makeup if you follow me there!

What did you get in your Ipsy Glam Bag for March? Let me know in the comments below!

Ipsy Unboxing: February 2018

My Ipsy Glam Bag was delivered the other day and of course I ripped it open to share with you guys! If you are unfamiliar with Ipsy, it is a subscription service that sends 4-5 beauty products to your door every month in a little cosmetics bag. The products range from samples to full sized, as well as drugstore to high end. The Ipsy subscription service is $10 per month and it typically a great value for the products you receive! Let’s jump into the February Ipsy Glam bag!

Cosmetic Bag

This months bag is actually really cute, which I didn’t except since the bags aren’t always my cup of tea. The soft blush pink bag looks really stunning up against the bold black lace- very valentine’s day chic which is great for February!

Luxie Brush #249

Luxie Brushes are fantastic, if you haven’t used these before- go check them out! This double sided #249 brush is my favorite item from this month’s glam bag! I have been using this to contour my nose and I love it!!! I’m not huge on contour, but I do like a subtle dark edge on my nose, jawline and cheek bones. The thinner/flat side of this brush is the perfect size to lay the contour powder down; and then the other side works so well to blend the contour out! I love this brush so much!! If you follow me on Instagram you may have seen this brush on my IG stories, I shared this as a sneak peak.

Eva Dry Shampoo

I have used this brand’s hair care before but not this particle product. I love me some dry shampoo so I will be using this eventually, however I am so stuck on the Dove Volumizing Dry Shampoo that I’l probably wait until I run out of that before testing this out. The packaging on this is adorable, love the sunset colors!

It Cosmetics Bye Bye Under Eyes Waterproof Concealer

I have used a variation of this in the past, the Bye Bye Under Eyes Illuminating Concealer, which I am a fan of, so when I saw this in my glam bag I was really excited. I love this formula, it covers dark circles so beautifully and really makes me look more awake! I have seen a lot of people saying they didn’t like how thick this product is, but if you apply it correctly, you will get crease free, full coverage under eye! I recommend dropping a tiny bit of this onto a small makeup brush and smoothing under the eye. Once the product is where you want it, blend out with a damp beauty sponge and then immediately set with powder. This might take a little extra time to apply, but it’s definitely worth it if you have heavy dark circles under the eyes.

Pacifica Min Beach Crystal Natural Mineral Eyeshadow Palette

These colors are really beautiful and paired well with each other so you can create quite a few looks out of these 5 shades! I love the packaging on this, super cute with the holo lettering and geometric designs. I have not used or swatched this since it is part of my March Giveaway on Instagram. If you are into this product, check out my IG to enter the giveaway!

Luna by Luna Highlight

This is a good sized highlight, the pan is small in diameter but it is really piled high in a dome shape. I’ve never used Luna by Luna before so I am interested on the wear time for this product, however I just have sooooo many highlights that I love so I’m not totally sure if I’ll be opening this or adding it to to giveaway pile.. I will keep you posted if I do test this out.

I really loves this months bag! The Luxie Brush and It Cosmetics Concealer are my stand out items this month- I’ve been using them every day since I received this bag! I am curious about the dry shampoo and highlighter too, so I’ll have to get back to you guys on those. Let me know if the comments what product you received this month. I love doing unboxing for you guys so please let me know if you love reading about them as much as I love posting about them!

Ipsy Unboxing: January 2018

It’s Ipsy time!! I love unboxing subscription services- it’s probably my favorite thing to do & write about! If you aren’t familiar with Ipsy, it is a monthly subscription box that includes 4-5 items, ranging in size and price. Ipsy showcases both high end and drug store companies in their monthly bags, which contain everything from samples to full size products. This is $10 per month and always comes with a cosmetics bag. Let jump right into January’s bag.

Cosmetics Bag

Ipsy glam Bag

This months cosmetics bag is a blue soft mesh fabric- detailed with lime green and pink stripes. This bag is not my style, at all. I understand the sporty vibe they are going for, especially since this time of year everyone’s New Years Resolution is to get in shape. I’m sure this is perfect for a lot of people who need something small to throw in their purse or gym bag. Total Sporty Spice vibes!

Briogeo Scalp Revival Charcoal + Coconut Oil Micro Exfoliating Shampoo

When I pulled this out of my bag I immediately thought of Tati Westbrook (GlamLifeGuru) who raves about this company on her Youtube channel. I ended up getting two uses out of this trial sized bottle of exfoliating shampoo. This isn’t super foaming, nor does it really lather on the hair. I do feel like those two washes really helped my scalp a lot, since I have been struggling with dandruff this winter. I will definitely be repurchasing this- I am so happy to have tried it. Oh and the best part, this product smells so freaking good- just like Girl Scouts Thin Mint cookies! I excepted a coconut/beach-y smell but I was pleasantly supposed this smelled minty and delicious.

The Balm Cosmetics Mary-Lou Manizer

As much as I hate these tiny little pans, I was excited to see this is my bag because of personal nostalgia. This highlight was what I was wearing a few months ago when one of my best friend got married! I was the maid of honor and when the makeup artist asked me if I had any makeup preferences I said “just cover me in highlight!”- she then grabbed this from her bag and layered it on. It has a beautiful finish and works really nicely with my fair skin. This highlight stays in place all day, I was glowing throughout the ceremony, reception and after party without having to touch it up!

So Susan Liquid Matte Lipstick in Raisin Flesh

I am unfamiliar with this company, this is my first time seeing it. I love getting full sized products in subscription boxes so I really cant complain with this! The color is nice, a rich mauve-y pink, however I haven’t used it yet. i’m on the fence on opening this just because I own too may liquid lipsticks as it is…but I am curious of the texture and wearability.

Pretty Woman Nail Polish in Johnny’s Angels

I have received quite a few nail polishes over the years with subscriptions and most of the time they are pretty neutral colors- light greys, baby pinks or nudes. When I saw this packaging I did not except the bright blue color inside. Unfortunately, my polish was slightly open inside the box and leaked.

Absolute New York Eye Artiste Single Shadow in VIP

This is another company I am unfamiliar with. I already have too many single eyeshadows that I don’t ever reach for, so this will be a giveaway item as well. The color looks really beautiful and I would rather share it with someone who doesn’t already have colors like this. The pan is really big, so you get a lot of product in this!

For $10, this bag isn’t too shabby, however if I’m being honest it’s not my favorite. I love the shampoo and the highlight, the rest of the items will be given away since I don’t really have a need for them.

I have been thinking about cancelling my Ipsy subscription for a while now but I haven’t pulled the trigger. Are there other boxes you would rather see instead? I currently do Boxycharm ($21/month) and I absolutely love it!

First Impressions: Glam Glow Blue Sonic Mask

Once again, my curiosity has been peeked after seeing the same product all over Instagram. It seems every beauty gurus out there uses or promotes the Glam Glow Gravity Mud Firming Treatment, which is a shiny blue peel of mask. Glam Glow is known for their high end masks, which will cost you a pretty penny.

This is the .5 oz unit which retails at $22. The larger unit is $69 for 1.7 oz. I purchased my mask through Sephora, also for sale on the Glam Glow website. Like always, let’s break this down and find out if it really is worth the hype!

Obviously this is a special product because of the packaging, being that it’s a collectors edition. I got the Tails container; there was also a Sonic one and a Knuckles one.

Smell & Texture

I don’t like the smell of this AT ALL, however I think I may be alone on that opinion. This has a very tropical scent, to me I smell coconut alcohol  and sun screen. I know, most people love that scent but I personally do not and I didn’t expect it at all.

The texture is thick and gel like at first. It spreads pretty far on the face as you rub it in, so I suggest going in with a little and add from there.

The package does say to avoid the eyebrows and hairline, so be mindful when using this, don’t rip your hair out!

This dried pretty quickly. Because it said to leave on for 30 minutes, I thought this would stay wet for a while, or at least be tacky. However, within about 5 minutes this was dry to the touch. Running my fingers over this was interesting. The mask did not budge, slide, or even come off onto my fingers. It was completely locked in place on my skin. The mask was very smooth all over except for my forehead, which felt rough to the touch. I wonder if this is because my forehead is my oily area?

This is a firming mask, so expect a tightening feeling when wearing this!

Removing the Mask

This peels off very easily. I used the pad of my finger to roll the edge of this until I was able to get a good piece lifted off of my chin. From there I slowly pulled the mask away from my skin and it very gently peeled off. I was a little nervous to remove this, but it wasn’t painful or difficult, much to my surprise! When I pulled this off of my face, you could literally see indentations from my pores on the strips of mask. That shows you how this really penetrates pores to remove dirt and oil.

My skin felt very tight and smooth when I took this off. I rinsed with warm water, dried my skin and then followed with a moisturizer.

Being that this is a first impression, I’ve only used this product once. Most of the time, with skin care, you need to try the product out for a few solid weeks to see any results. From my first use of this product I can tell you my skin already looks improved! My pores look smaller and clean. My skin looks refreshed and less dull. And the weirdest thing, my skin still feels tight like when the mask was on. It’s been about 20 minutes and my face feels tight and plump!

Worth the Hype?

I am truly impressed with this mask! I don’t think I’ve ever experienced immediate results with a skin care product, at least not the this level. I would 100% recommend this product, this may even become my new skin care holy grail! I cannot wait to do this again next week and see how my skin improved over time. Now I understand the hype on Instagram, this product works; totally worth the hype!

Ipsy vs. Sephora Play: July 2017

One of my favorite posts to share with you guys and gals are the monthly Ipsy and Sephora Play unboxing! If you are unfamiliar with these, they are a month subscription service that mails 4-5 products to your doorstep! The products range in size from sample, deluxe sample and full sized. In Ipsy, there is a mixture of high end and drugstore brands; Sephora Play is high end only, found in Sephora stores.

The items pictured are sample sized, unless otherwise stated. The prices listed along side the products are for FULL SIZED versions. The retailers vary, as I look up where to find these the cheapest, incase you do not have an Ipsy subscription. If you are in Ipsy subscriber, make sure to check their website as they do offer sales and coupon codes.

Let’s jump right in! These are the bags that I received this month:

Cosmetics Bags

These are both cute bags.. nothing I’m jumping for joy over, but they are cute nonetheless. The zippered bag, with the cartoon egg thing was from Ipsy.  The pink plaid Glamp Out bag is from Sephora. Now for the important stuff.. what’s inside?!

  • Ren Clear Skin Care Ever Calm Global Protection Day Cream
  • Clinique Chubby Stick in
  • Madam C J Walker Beauty Culture Wonderful Deep Conditioning Masque
  • It Cosmetics Super Hero Mascara

  • Tarte Park Ave Princess Bronzer
  • Windy Lux Double Matte Whip
  • Ciate Wonderland Eyeliner
  • TonyMoly Im Real Sheet Masks in Green Tea and Lotus
  • M Princess Pressed Eyeshadow

Individual Item Breakdown

Sephora Play Items:

Ren Clear Skin Care Ever Calm Global Protection Day Cream

This moisturizer is suppose to help the skin purify from environmental issues like smoke, pollution and weather. I have used a variety of moisturizers, but none that have made this claim. I am interested in how this would work but I feel like these are the type of products you need to use daily for a while to see it is really pays off.  ($22.97, walmart.com)

Clinique Chubby Stick in Woppin’ Watermelon

I have used a few of these before, in different shades and I do like the feel of them on the lips. These have very little color pay off  in these lighter shades like this. Since I already have a few of these in similar shades, I will be including this in an upcoming giveaway. ($17, sephora.com)

Madam C J Walker Beauty Culture Wonderful Deep Conditioning Masque

I’ve been more into hair care lately, so I will be trying this out for sure. My hair is chemically treated (bleach, color removers, and a ton of color deposits) so I could definitely use a refresher! I don’t typically use hair masques but that’s what these subscription boxes are all about- trying new things! ($32, sephora.com, currently out of stock)

It Cosmetics Super Hero Mascara

I have gotten this before in a subscription box and used it in the past. This isn’t my favorite mascara in the world, but I dont hate it. This does add a bit of length and volume, but nothing too dramatic. I do like that the formula being that isn’t too drying and it doesn’t flake. ($24, itcosmetics.com)

Ipsy Items:

Tarte Park Ave Princess Bronzer

I have heard a lot about this bronzer, it seems to be pretty hyped up on Instagram, soI was very excited to see this! I am not huge on bronzers, being that I have pale skin, but this gives such a nice glow-y feel that is perfect for the summer. I apply this with a large angled fluffy brush to my temples, cheekbones, and down the side of my neck. I love how this wears on the skin! The packaging on this is really cute too, with a faux crocodile skin on the compact. The pan size is good sized and I see this lasting my quiet a while! ($30, tartecosmetics.com)

Windy Lux Double Matte Whip in Angel Food

This product is a rose pink matte liquid lipstick. The packing and name is super cute, although it doesn’t seem like a very big sample compared to the same of most liquid lipsticks. The full sized in so adorable, it has little ice-cream cones on it , so cute! I did swatch this on my hand and it was tacky at first and then dried down completely matte. This is so long lasting, the swatch stayed on my hand the entire day until I removed it with soapy water! I am impressed with the staying power of these and would like to try other colors! ($13, winkylux.com)

Ciate Wonderland Gel Kohl Eyeliner Pencil

This is a cool concept, one side is eyeliner and the other side is an angled brush. The brush is insanely soft and flexible. I definitely thought it would be stiff and was really surprised at how well it blended the liner out with the bendable bristles. I haven’t tried this on my eye yet, so I dont know how well it would hold up in the water liner, but I will give it a whirl soon. I swatched this on my hand and the liner is a bit rough, not super creamy, but it does have good color pay off. The pigment is definitely bold and blends down softly, so I like that you could do a different looks with this product! ($18, sephora.com)

TonyMoly Im Real Sheet Masks in Green Tea and Lotus

I love receiving sheet masks in my subscription boxes because I always find new brands or mask types that I’m unfamiliar with. I am excited to try these out, I saw this brand listed on a makeup website recently and I was intrigued! These are really inexpensive for sheet masks, so if they work out for me, I will definitely be repurchasing. Who doesn’t want affordable skin care?! ($3 each, macys.com)

M Princess Pressed Eyeshadow in Biscuit

I am just not a fan of single eyeshadows. I typically throw them in a random drawer and forget about them. I am a palette queen all the way. I know, I know, just get a Z palette to hold all of my singles, I keep telling myself but haven’t actually done it. This color on this looks nice, but upwards of $15 seem like a lot of money for a single shadow. I did not open this or swatch it because it will be in an comping giveaway (possibly this week so keep you eyes peeled!) ($15.45, http://www.emmprincess.com.au)

The winner this month is clearly IPSY! I was really excited with the variety of products this month. It was 6 products total, since it came with two different sheet masks!  For $10 I am really ecstatic to receive a lipstick, eyeshadow, two face masks, bronzer and an  eyeliner!!!

Sephora Play on the other hand was a little underwhelming. I will likely use some of these, but I just wasn’t super excited the way I was when I opened my Ipsy bag. As you may have noticed, there are only 4 items listed for my Sephora Box this month, because I did not receive one of the items listed on my information pamphlet, so I know I was suppose to receive it… Also, the fragrance sample I received leaked…. so not great showing this month for the Sephora Box.

Thanks so much for reading. If you enjoy these types of blog posts, please give this a like and be sure to follow me on Instagram (@bewitchingmakeup)!

Ipsy vs. Sephora: June Unboxing

Hello everyone, welcome back to my blog! Today is one of my favorite days, UNBOXING SUBSCRIPTION BOXES DAY!!!!  You may have noticed I didn’t do this last month. There was an issue with one of my subscriptions so I received it super later. Because of that, I skipped May’s unboxing. But now I’m back in the swing of things and have two subscription boxes to share with you guys and gals.

In the red corner, we have Ipsy Glam Bag! For $10 per month, this box includes 5 products ranging from sample to full sized! These products are a mixture of high end and drugstore items.

In the blue corner, we have Sephora Play Box! This also weighs in a $10 per month for 5 products ranging from sample to full size, however these brands are high-end brands exclusively.

Each bag will be reviewed thoroughly, piece by piece so that we can determine the better box. You will notice the product lists have the sizes listed next to them:

Full sized= (FS)

Deluxe Sample= (DS)

Sample= (S)

Please note the prices listed are what I have found online at different retailers and are for FULL SIZED products. If you have an Ipsy subscription, you can find deals for certain brands, so check there before purchasing to save some pennies..  Okay, lets dive in!

Ipsy Products

Kokie Professional Nail Polish in Gone Rio, (FS)

Privai Matte Moisturizer, (DS)

The Balm Cosmetics Balm Springs Blush, (S)

NYX Whipped Lip & Cheek Souffle, (DS)

Doucce Maxlash Volumizer Mascara, (DS)

First, the cosmetics bag this month is super adorable. I am really hit and miss with these bags, sometimes I love them and sometimes I don’t understand why theres so awful, so I was very pleased to see this fun design this month!

Kokie Professional Nail Polish in Gone Rio is a really nice coral-y shade of pink. Perfect shade for summer! I haven’t used this brand, but coincidentally I just watched Tati Westbrook’s Youtube channel and she did a full review of Kokie. After watching that I was intrigued to try this brand out and then bam!, its in my Ipsy bag! I haven’t tried this yet but definitely will be soon. This brand is new to Walmart I believe, this polish is listed on kokiecosmetics.com for $6, awesome price!

Privai Matte Moisturizer is listed on the webiste, privia.com for $30. This is described to help oily/blemish skin so it sounds like I will love it! I haven’t tried it yet but believe you me, this will be in use very soon. It has grapeseed and sage extract listed in the ingredients. I did swatch it on the back of my hand and the texture feels sikly and moisturizing. This smells like lemons, very citrus like.

The Balm Cosmetics Balm Springs Blush is listed on kohls.com for $21. This is one of those tiny samples that I just end up swatching and forgetting about. I totally need to invest in a Z palette to depot all these little guys! I am a fan of Balm cosmetics, I’m familiar with there eyeshadows and mascaras but I’ve never used their blushes. I will say this color is very nice! I prefer pale/muted blushes and this is a gorgeous pale pink. I think this color will color very nicely with my complex so I will be try this out, however I have sooooo many blushes so I don’t see myself buying a full sized one any time soon.

NYX Whipped Lip & Cheek Souffle is not the texture I thought is would be. For some reason I thought this would be light and fluffy, like an air whipped consistency. Remember the Dream Mousse bronzer from Maybelline back in the day (aka the bronzer I used every single day of high school)? That’s totally what I expected when I opened this but alas, it was very slippery and slick. I like the color and it works really well for a lip topper.

Doucce Maxlash Volumizer Mascara is listed on their website, doucce.com for $22. Pretty average price for mascara. I haven’t used this product yet. I just have so many mascaras so I haven’t reached for this one at all. The wand is nice, the type of bristles I prefer.

Sephora Products

Kat Von D Liquid Lipstick Lovesick, (DS)

Klorane Dry Shampoo, (DS)

Benefits the Porfessional, (S)

Verb Sea Spray, (DS)

Coola Makeup Setting Spray, (S)

The bag this month is okay. I say it every month, I don’t really like these draw string bags. The graphic is cute but beyond that I probably wont use this bag again, sorry Sephora.

Kat Von D Liquid Lipstick in Lovesick is a gorgeous pink/mauve color. I am very familiar with this product as I own 4 of these already, (Lolita, Lolita II, Xo, and Melancholia). The formula on these are phenomenal! They are a bit dry, but if you exfoliate your lips before applying then you shouldn’t have a problem at all. The color range in the liquid lipsticks are amazing, they are listed on sephora.com for $20 each. I definitely recommend these if you need long lasting, pigmented color. I couldn’t help but swatch this as soon as I opened it.

Klorane Dry Shampoo is listed on sphora.com for $10 or $20 depending on the size you buy. This came with the $10 can and OH. MY. GOODNESS. GIMME. MORE! This dry shampoo is my new obsession!!!!! I really love this stuff and as cheap as I am, I’ll spring $20 for another can of this as soon as this one run out. If you like dry shampoos that really soak up excess oils and give you volume, this for you! When you spray it on it goes completely gray, so I was little nervous. But after 3 minutes you can shake it out and brush through your hair for a serious refresher.

Benefits the Professional is another product I have used in the past, it’s $30 on sephora.com . I really love the way this helps minimize the appearance of pores. The texture is like no other, it’s so silky. Heres a photo I shared a while back showing the difference of wearing foundation with and without, which kind if speaks for itself.

Verb Sea Spray is listed for $7 or $14 on spehora.com, depending on the size. This is the $7 size which contained 2.4 oz of product. I will say I’m not big of texturizing sprays but I am interested to try this out being that its the perfect time of year for beach waves. This smells fresh and floraly and the mister on the bottle is very nice!!

Coola Makeup Setting Spray is listed on sephora.com for $36, holy cow! That seems like a lot of money for a setting spray to me.. I currently use Tarte Marine Boosting Spray and Mac Fix Plus which are both about $25 each. This Coola spray does has 30 spa, which is great but I don’t want two fall in love with a product that expensive. Maybe I’ll use this in a giveaway?

My Ipsy bag was pretty good, I’m excited about the nail polish and matte moisturizer. The blush is a pretty color but I don’t like these tiny samples (again this could easily be solved by getting a z palette but I’m lazy!)

My Sephora bag is bananas. I looooove me some liquid lipsticks and this dry shampoo is my new best friend. Because of those two products alone I have to say, the winner is……… Sephora Play Box!

Side note

As much as I really love doing beauty unboxings, I’m feeling like these small samples just aren’t cutting it anymore. I don’t want to pay for these monthly subscriptions to not use the products. I am pretty torn here, should I cancel these boxes and do a more expensive box like Boxy Charm or Glossy Box? Those are closer to $20 a month, but they usually come with all full sized products so I feel like I would use them more regularly. Let me know in the comments what you think; Is it time for something new or do you guys and gals want me to stick with Ipsy/Sephora?
