Boxy Charm June 2018

Hey everyone, this is one of my favorite topics to blog about and I hope you love reading my unboxings! If you are unfamiliar with Boxycharm, it is a subscription service that sends a box of goodies to your home every month. Items are always beauty related (hair, makeup, skincare) and they range in size/price but it is always $21 per month. This months Boxycharm is so insane! First off, I received 9 items- yes you read that correct, 9 items! Let’s jump right into this unboxing:

Sol de Janerio Brazilian Bum Bum Cream

Funny thing about this product- I recently bought a jar of this Brazilian Bum Bum Cream and it smells so freaking good that even my boyfriend was using it! He was using it so much that I bought another one before we ran out.. and then Boxycharm sends me another one! I will definitely be using this- it’s probably my favorite beauty product this summer- I am obsessed! If you’ve never used this I highly recommend trying it. It is pricey, but go grab a free sample at sephora or at least go smell how heavenly this stuff is!!!! The scent is pistachio caramel and its seriously so sweet and delicious that I bought the body mist fragrance too! I can’t get enough of this stuff. Besides the amazing smell, this stuff really does work! This is a fast absorbing tightening body cream. I swear it helps with cellulite on thighs and plumps the skin so beautifully.

Ofra Long Lasting Liquid Lipstick

I have actually never used a Ofra Liquid Lipstick before but I was happy to see this in my Boxycharm! The color is right up my alley, I love 90’s-esque shades of brown lip color. I haven’t worn this on my lips yet, but I did a quick swatch.

This has a very sweet scent, reminds me of cake batter! If you dont like fragrance in cosmetics this might not be for you, but the scent doesn’t bother me at all. I am really loving this shade and curious to see how it lasts throughout the day.

Alamar Cosmetics Reina del Caribe Volume 1

This packaging is too cute, I love the bright yellow tropical/summer themed package. My favorite detail is the small water and sun symbols next to each shade name- these represent if you should apply wet or dry- such a cute small detail!

These swatched so beautifully, serious knocked my socks off with how smooth and creamy the metallics are. I use them for the first time today and oh my god!!! I love how flawlessly these blend and I cannot believe how pigmented these are! The mattes are BRIGHT and BOLD on the eyes! The metallics apply more on the sheer side if you use a dry brush; using a wet brush wet amps up the color and texture! I am dying to try more from this brand now, this palette is amazing!!!

Jonteblu Cosmetics Eye Liner

This deep brown eyeliner is the perfect shade to accent the colors in the Alamar palette! I used this to line my water line and it really meshed all the colors together beautifully. This is a traditional wooden pencil liner that you would sharper, not a twist up. It applied creamy to the eye and the color was a perfect shade of brown! I really like this a lot especially because I have so many black liners but few brown ones!

Battington Lashes

This little box is adorable, I really like this packing! These lashes look really pretty and fluffy. They do look lightweight with a thin strip which is always nice for flexibility and application. I have not trie these out yet but I am curious because I am not familiar with this company. It is exciting to receive lashes in a subscription box though!

Luxie Brush Trio

I cannot believe this box came with 3 FULL SIZED Luxie Brushes!!! I absolutely love Luxie Beauty, I use their face and eyeshadow brushes pretty much everyday. I was sooooo excited to see this trio in my Boxycharm. I used them today and of course, as all Luxie brushes are, they were super soft and amazing! I love these and I am so happy they are full sized, not travel sized! This trio comes with a fountain brush, a powder brush and a tapered highlighting brush.

Overall

This June 2018 Boxy Charm is bananas!!! I loooove this box sooo much, it might be my favorite Boxycharm yet! Every month I am so impressed with the amount of products I receive for only $21, so amazing!

Ipsy Unboxing: April 2018

I love subscription boxes soooooo incredibly much! This week my Ipsy Glam Bag came in and of course I ripped it open in a frenzy to see what this months bag contained! If you are unfamiliar with Ipsy, it is a subscription service that sends 4-5 items per month for $10. The items range is size and price. I feel Ipsy is kind of hit or miss. Some months are spectacular and some are a little lackluster. Lets jump right into the April glam bag!

Cosmetics Bag

Although this isn’t really my personal style, I do think this bag is really cute! The butterflies are perfect for spring and the rose gold accents make more this stylish/sophisticated.

NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream in Stockholm

I own this already and I really love it! Any soft peachy nudes are typically my go to lip colors so this is a staple n my collection. I love the formula on this, it is creamy, smooth and super pigmented! Although it is a matte, its a soft matte meaning its more or a velvet finish which is not overly drying. This doesn’t emphasis texture of the he lips either so if your lips are chapped, this will still apply well. I am very happy to receive this in my glam bag!

The Vintage Cosmetics Tweezers

The packaging on this is so cute, I love the mix or floral and polka dots- the vintage patterns work perfectly for the brand name. These tweezers are a good shape and weight. I used them this morning and they grabbed and removed the brow hairs easy peasy! I hate when tweezers are too rounded and the hairs just slip around and wont pluck- thats not the case with these, they have a sharp angled edge that works really well!

The color of this is gorgeous too, I love rose gold and these look super cute on my vanity.

Lip Scrub

I love that there’s a lip scrub in this months glam bag. Its a great item to have in your makeup collection in general. I don’t know if I’m going to open this because I already have a ton of lip scrubs, but if I didn’t I would be excited to get this is a subscription box. Especially this time of year with the weather still cold (in my area at least), its great to receive skin care/dry skin products to refresh before the summer!

H2O+ Beauty Oasis Hydrating Treatment

The texture of this is very gel like, not creamy or lotion-y at all. This does spread pretty far so a small squeeze covered my face. It feels very soothing and slick when applying and does take a few minutes to dry down. I would say this has a slight tacky feeling on the skin, but it actually seemed to work pretty well as a primer for my makeup because of that slight stickyness. This has a strange smell that I just can’t place but it’s not terrible smell. Be mindful using this because I slapped it on all willy nilly and ended up getting it in my eye and it burned pretty awful! That was totally my fault and no fault of the product. I actually am really enjoying this, it’s very hydrating!

Paula Dorf Bronzer in Bora Bora

This is definitely a semi-shimmery bronzer. It isn’t super noticeable on the face but keep that in mind if you prefer a very matte bronzer/contour. This soft brown color works really well for my pale skin. Theres no orange haze or any weird color change on the skin. This blends out pretty easily too! I’ve never used this brand before but I am pleasantly surprised at how much I am loving this.

Overall

This months bag is pretty great! I am loving all of my items this month and and so happy to have successes with these brands I have never used before! What did you guys get in your glam bags this month? Let me know in the comments!

Milk Makeup Flex Concealer Review

I stopped in Sephora recently just to check out the newest launches and spoke with a sales person who was really pushing the Milk Makeup Flex Concealer. I told him I use concealers that are FULL coverage and he ensured me that this would do exactly what I wanted as far as coverage and wearability. It was insanely busy in Sephora and my boyfriend was waiting outside so I just ran to the counter, handed over my debit card and left….. then I realized I had just spent $28 on one tube of concealer that only had .2 oz of product….This isn’t completely unheard of for Sephora brands. For example, Urban Decay’s Naked Concealer is $29 per tube (.16oz). So I wasn’t mad at the price but I did have VERY high expectations since I wasn’t excepting that hefty price tag. Lets jump right into the nitty gritty- packaging, coverage, wearability, formula, pro/cons and would I buy again.

Packaging

This looks like a squeeze tube, but it isn’t! Theres actually a wand in here which is usually ideal for application. The wand is an good shape, but it doesn’t pick up much product out of the tube. I had to re-dip a few times per eye which isn’t a terrible flaw, but it is kind of annoying.

Also, I’m to sure if it’s a packaging flaw or if I got a bad tube, but sometimes the stopper (the plastic piece that removes the excess product from the wand) lifts and I end up making a mess!

Formula

This has marshmallow extract and blue lotus in the formula, which was one of the big selling factors for me. I like trying things with extra benefits for the skin. The other big claim is that this is a “flex” formula which means it will move with the skin instead of cracking or creasing since it’s flexible. I always want to have a completely smooth under eye area with no creasing or texture so I was hoping this would become a new staple in my makeup collection!

Wearability

This applies to the skin okay. It does say to apply and then blend with fingertips which I did and notice more coverage than another time when I blended out with a Beauty Blender. Makeup sponges seem to grab this product and remove it more than actually blend it out, so fingers are the way to go with this product for sure.

This applies smoothly and evenly. I didn’t have any issues blending out and it matches my skin tone really well. My biggest issue is that this didn’t have the coverage I was hoping for being that it was almost $30… My first time applying I did my normal amount of product and it just had a medium coverage look which doesn’t work for me. I have very dark circles so I want a FULL coverage concealer. I ended up doing two layers of this and it looked good, wore well and didn’t crease! I actually really like how this wore under my eyes when I layered it up but I just feel like I’m going through so much product so quickly. (Please note when layering liquids you want to let the first layer dry before adding more.)

I also used this to conceal blemishes and it looked great upon first application but that it ended up showing my redness throughout the day. This became greasy pretty quickly (about 3 hours into the day) and seemed to slide right off my blemishes, showing the texture and discoloration. I did not notice any oiliness under my eyes, just on my face where I spot concealed.

Pros & Cons

Pros:

  • Color matches my skin perfectly
  • Flexible (doesn’t crack/ crease)
  • Wears well under eyes
  • Vegan & cruelty free formula

Cons:

  • Not full coverage (unless layered)
  • Doesn’t cover blemishes
  • Expensive

Overall

I would give this a 6/10. I would repurchase (for under eye concealing only) if it came with more product because I did like the way it wore under my eye with that extra layer. Since that isn’t the case, I don’t think I’ll be grabbing another tube of this concealer because I see myself going through it so quickly. I typically don’t mind spending a little extra for foundations & concealers because I want full, long wearing formulas, but this just isn’t enough product for the price in my opinion. Honestly, the Colour Pop No Filter Concealers have a similar texture and wear similarly and those are only $6 per tube.

Has anyone tried this? Or any other products from Milk Makeup? Let me know in the comments!

As always, thanks so much for reading!

Natasha Denona Mini Sunset Palette

I’ve been so curious about the Natasha Denona cosmetics line, but honestly it’s out of my budget. The eyeshadow palettes I’ve seen listed in the past on Sephora were between $150-250. Those palettes contained around 15-20+ pans, so they were large with a lot of color options, but definitely pricey.

When I saw this Mini Sunset Palette listed for $25 I immediately added it to my Sephora cart and figured this would be my best chance at trying the Natasha Denona formula since I don’t seem myself spending over $100+ on a palette at this point in my makeup career. Hopefully that changes because I would LOVE to review more luxury items if I could swing it finically. But I digress, I grabbed this palette and could not wait for it to be delivered. Unfortunately because of the weather my package was delayed so I got it a few days later than I should have but I did receive it none the less.

Natasha Denona Mini Sunset Palette (ouster cardboard unit)

I pulled this out of the mailer and I couldn’t believe the size… I know its called “Mini” but this thing is so itty bitty. It’s really adorable how small it is, heres a comparison of it next to a primer (Dr. Brandt Pores No More Luminizer Primer).

Natasha Denona Mini Sunset Palette & Dr. Brandt Pores No More Luminizer Primer

The size of this is not an issue for me because the pan size is big enough to get a brush in and it’s a great size to travel with! I’ve used this a few times now and I haven’t even put a dent into the pans so theres a good amount of product in this mini palette.

Packaging

The Natasha Denona Mini Sunset Palette is a white plastic unit with a clear flip top. The cover is attached at the top and flips down securely to close. The brand name is displayed on the clear top- very simple and classic looking.

The shade names are not listed in the front, buy they are clearly listed on the big of the palette.

Color/ Texture

This palette included 5 shades- all warm tones colors. There are 2 mattes and 3 shimmers. These are all new shades from Natasha Denona, so these are not found in the original full size Sunset Palette, which is a little confusing. These colors are the same color family being warm, sunset-esque colors.

Colors in order from left to right:

  • Guava- matte peach-y tan
  • Apollo- shimmery cranberry red
  • Dirty Mars- matte rich brown
  • Sun Be a- shimmery bronze-y/ copper
  • Halo- shimmery champagne

Formula

The formula on this is nice. These are buttery and smooth to the touch.

There isn’t much kick back  when dipping the brush into the pan- this is pretty amazing being the the packaging is white, you would immediately notice if these shadows made mess but they don’t.

These blend out fairly easy on the eyes. They did need a little work to create a smooth transition which surprised me.  A lot of reviews I’ve seen have say how Natasha Denona’s palettes are priced so high because they blend easy peasy. These did blend okay but not extraordinarily better than other palettes I have.

I applied using a fluffy brush for the mattes and they were surprisingly more pigmented on the eye than I thought they would be. I assumed I would go in with a bit of shadow, blend out and dip back in to layer (like I normally do with most shadows) but I didn’t even need to! One dip into this was enough to blend my crease out completely. It wasn’t the most effortless blend ever as it took a few minutes to blend properly, however the pigmentation was there.

The shimmers applied well too, some better than others. The maroon shimmer Apollo went on like a breeze. I barely even dipped my brush in and I got enough product to cover my lid and blend out. The lighter gold color and champagne shades Sun Beam and Halo are beautiful as well but not as pigmented when blending onto the lid, so I did use a setting stay on my brush to enhance the colors.

Wearability

These wore really beautifully throughout the day. The shimmers did not crease or move around on my eye lids! I should mention that I did not prime my eye lids at all before using this and it still lasted throughout the day.

Obviously, if you dont like warm colors this wouldn’t be for you. I do think you can create a lot of pretty looks using these 5 colors since the textures and mattes work so well with each other.

Dupes

Let’s start off this part as saying these are not 100% duplicates (especially the last one). The reason I am including this is because I find the texture of this Sunset Palette to be very similar to the Jaclyn Hill x Morphe Palette. The colors are similar and you could make very similar eye looks PLUS MORE using the Jaclyn Hill Palette which comes with 35 eyeshadows for $38. I have a full review with swatches of all 38 colors if you are instead in more info on the Jaclyn Hill Palette.

Overall

I love when high end/ luxury brands come out with minis so that the everyday beauty lover can try it out without breaking the bank! I would give this a 6.5/10. I like the colors a lot and they wear beautifully throughout the day. I would have rated in higher if it were easy to blend and if it were cheaper since I find my Jaclyn Hill palette so similar and way less cost per color.

Has anyone tried the Natasha Denona full sized palettes? I’m thinking maybe the formula was changed… Let me know in the comments what you all think!

Jeffree Star Cosmetics Mini Reds and Pinks Bundle (Love Sick Collection)

The Jeffree Star Cosmetics Love Sick collection dropped a few weeks ago and it went quick! The Blood Sugar Palette sold out 100,000 units in 3 minutes, which is absolutely insane! I wasn’t able to get my hands on the Blood Sugar palette (which looks beautiful) but I did grab the Mini Reds & Pinks Bundle and I am really exited about it!!!

I reviewed and swatched the Mini Nudes Bundle Vol. 1 that came out a few months ago and I absolutely loved it! I still wear a lot of those shades to this day and I haven’t run out of product in any of them. (See my previous blog post “Jeffree Star Cosmetics Mini Nude Vol.1 Swatches & Review” for more on that bundle) That post discussed the packing and pricing, which is the exact same for this bundle (except red) so I am not going to touch on that too much, just a quick rundown.

Pricing

This set is $52 for 8 mini Velour Liquid Lipsticks, which makes them $6.50 each. For a high end brand like Jeffree Star Cosmetics, this is a fantastic price. I know something over $50 seems like a lot for makeup but if you wear liquid lipsticks often this is definitely a great deal for 8 shades! The shipping was $5.95, which is typical for beauty products.

Packaging

The bundle come packaged in a really nice box which has individual slots to showcase the lipsticks. I absolutely love the attention to detail this company includes with their launches. This box is gorgeous, sturdy and overall makes the product feel even more high end.

Shades

Mini Reds & Pink Bundle includes 8 shades:

  • Doll Parts
  • Calabasas
  • Wifey
  • Watermelon Soda
  • Anna Nicole
  • Prom Night
  • Redrum
  • Unicorn Blood

Texture

All of these shades are the traditional Velour Liquid Lipstick formula- matte and opaque! These wear so beautifully on the lips. I would recommend a lip scrub first to remove dead skin before any liquid lipsticks (see my previous post “Prepping for Liquid Lipsticks” for more on extending wear time and comfortability with matte liquid lipsticks).

Swatches

I know these swatches are far from perfect, but I wanted to try something new by show these on the lips, instead of my normal arm swatches!

The timing of this post is pretty coincidental, being that Jeffree Star Cosmetics Instagram shared a photo of my swatches yesterday! I am over the moon that they saw my post and like it enough to repost. Here’s the screenshot of their page with my post!!!!

I am so beyond excited! I did these swatches pretty quick (and now I’m wishing I had taken more time to make it perfect and less messy), but I’m just so ecstatic that Jeffree Star’s team reposted it! I used each shade to write a letter, starting from the shade of the far left and working across the set.

Overall

These bundles are awesome. I’m a sucker for travel sized products in general so of course I’m drawn to mini Jeffree Star Lipsticks since they are my favorite Liquid Lipsticks. The colors are so unique, the formula is fantastic and the price isn’t overwhelming for the amount of product you receive. Hands down, I would recommend this to any red lipstick lover.

Has anyone else grabbed this bundle or anything from the Love Sick Collection? Let me know in the comments, Im so curious about the items I didn’t grab this time around!

Fit Me by Maybelline Review

Maybelline’s Fit Me line has been around for quite some time. I was an avid user of the Fit Me Bronzer and Blush for years. Recently, I’ve seen tons of Youtubers and Beauty Influencers recommending the Fit Me Foundations, Concealers and Powders for their favorite drug store products so I figured I would give it try! I was able to grab the “Matte & Poreless” foundation and powder in my color but the Concealer was all sold out in my shade.

Foundation

This  “Matte & Poreless” foundation is packaged really beautiful for an inexpensive brand! This comes in a glass bottle with a black cap. The lettering is a sleek black and teal; overall very nice presentation. I do wish this had a pump on it, rather than just an opening to pour the product out, but that’s just a personal preference.

This blends into the skin nicely and wears well throughout the day. I would recommend a beauty sponge instead of a brush- just because the formula is thick, I’ve seen better results using a sponge.

The formula is matte, however that’s the final product after I powder. I never wear foundation alone . My skin does not get oily wearing this which is great! If you have dry skin, or dry patches, this might not be the best product for you. I did notice the product grabbing on to areas of dry skin on my cheeks when I wore it without a moisturizing primer (but that’s because my skin is combo and this winter has been rough!)  I wouldn’t say the poreless claim is true. If you have large pores, I  would recommend a pore minimizing primer with this- Benefit’s Porefessional or NYX Pore Filler are great- so that you can get a smoother overall appearance.

This foundation is very build-able, which I love! I can do a thin layer for a carefree makeup day, or layer it up for more glam days (I recommend letting it dry before a second coat)! The coverage is really nice when it comes to acne, I like how opaque this is over red areas, dark circles and imperfections. I will say that this took my a few tries to really love. The first few times I went too heavy with the products and felt very cakey. Just be mindful of your application- thin layers, with a few minutes in between to dry will give you the best results!

Powder

The loose powder is packaged well, the cap unscrews easily and the powder is secure under a plastic sifter. I love that it comes out slow enough so you don’t end up with a huge dust cloud and you can kind of control the amount of product you want to dispense, since the sifter is sized appropriately. The unit is plastic, but very durable. Keeping with the theme, it also has sleek black cap.

The texture on this powder is lovely! It is soft and finely milled so it applies flawlessly to the skin. This does seem to give a little extra coverage, since its a tinted powder, rather than a translucent powder. I would compare the texture to Cody Air Spun because it has that soft, velvet touch. This powder is not scented at all.

If you have pale skin- the 05 Fair shade is wonderful for baking the undereyes!! I have fair skin and most powders are too dark to highlight the under eye area. This however works really well! I use a sponge to set my bake under the eyes and then brush it off with a large fluffy brush. I then use that same large brush to buff the powder into he remainder of my face.  I would highly recommend using this sparingly- too much powder can give you cake face!

Overall

I really love both of these items! I find myself reaching for the powder a lot, it’s just the perfect shade for my fair skin. The foundation is great to have too, I tend to grab for it when I am having breakouts or if the bags under my eyes are really dark- the coverage is real!

These products are $5.99 each, so you really can’t go wrong grabbing both for $12! If you haven’t tried these, its worth giving it a go. Just be mindful of your skin type and the amount of product you are using- like I mentioned above it took me a few times to realize I was applying too much at first, this stuff is pigmented!

Now that I’ve tried this Matte & Poreless, I really want to try the Dewy & Smooth! Let me know in the comments if you would like to read a review on that one too!

Jaclyn Hill x Morphe Palette: In-Depth Review & Swatches: It is Worth the Hype?

The Jaclyn Hill x Morphe Palette is one of those products that is so buzzed about and hyped up on social media, it almost seems too good to be true. I had to get my hands on this and do a no holds bar review! We will be dividing in deep with this one, discussing everything from ordering the palette, swatches, textures, colors, price and the most important part: is it really worth the hype?!

Who is Jaclyn Hill?

If you aren’t familiar with Jaclyn Hill, she is a make up artist and beauty influencer who has a very popular YouTube channel. Jaclyn has partnered with Morphe in the past to do a “favorites palette” showcasing her favorite Morphe shadows. In that collab she was asked to just pick from the already manufactured eyeshadows to create a palette. Think of this collab as her filling up an empty Z Palette with her favorite individual eyeshadows.

What Makes This Palette Custom?

This time around was much different for Jaclyn being that The Jaclyn Hill x Morphe Palette is a product of her own imagination. Jaclyn helped with the colors, textures, finishes, etc. One of the processes she spoke about when launching was the pressing process. Each color is pressed into the pan to a certain degree in order to give you the ideal color payoff. If a color is pressed too hard, it can be difficult to lift the pigment from the pan to your brush. If a color is packed too lightly, there can be a ton of fall out when you dip your brush in to pick up product. Jaclyn had these shadow represses over and over and over making sure the consistency was perfect. Each color in this palette is individually packed to the desired amount for that particular shade (meaning instead of pressing all of the shadows with same amount of pressure, each color has a certain amount of pressure applied to make sure the color is perfect.) This was a very lengthy process that Jaclyn dedicated herself to for 2 years! Talk about anticipation..

Ordering

This palette was originally launched in June 2017 and has since been restocked a few times. I wanted this so incredibly bad the first time around but I just couldn’t get on the website fast enough, being that it sold out within the first hour. This last restock, I was READY! I had two computer screens up side by side with the Morphe website at 10:45am, just waiting for the 11am banner to say “IN STOCK” (I live on the east coast, it was live 8am on the west coast). As soon as 11am hit I clicked on the Jaclyn Hill Palette link and placed it in my cart! I will mention I was surprised that I couldn’t buy more than 1 palette, but I understand it’s a sought after item and I shouldn’t be so greedy.

Price

The palette is $38 and the shipping charge was $7.95, so overall I spent $45.95.

If you were to break this down, from the subtotal price, each shadow would be $1.09.

If you were to break this down from the overall total, each shadow would be $1.43.

Shipping

I ordered this on Tuesday 08/22 and it was to my house by Saturday 08/26. Insanely fast delivery! This was packaged well, even bubble wrapped inside the box, which is always nice!

Packaging

This palette comes in a cardboard unit that it a heavy duty quality, yet lightweight. This isn’t the fanciest, or most innovative packaging ever; very standard as far as cardboard palettes go. The white and silver color scheme on the outside of the palette is very chic, I like how subtle yet elegant the front is. I could tell right away that this packaging is going to show wear and tear being thats is bright white; pigment will show up on the outside of the unit if you’re not careful.

The color names are NOT listed anywhere on the actual palette! This isn’t a huge deal for the everyday makeup wearer, but it is an issue for beauty bloggers/influencers being that you want know the shade name when doing tutorials, etc.

One downside of this palette is that there is no mirror- at all. Where a mirror would normally lay, theres a note instead that reads, “This palette is dedicated to all my loving subscribers. XO Jaclyn”.  Thats cute and all, but what I did was tape the card insert with the color names so I could reference it in the future.

Colors/ Finishes

There are 35 shades in this palette, ranging in color families and finishes. There are mattes, shimmers, foils, cool tones, warm tones, neutral tones- pretty much everything you could ask for in a palette. The one thing I will nitpick is there is no matte white shade (I’m a strict believer in having a pure white and pure black in every palette!), but really this isn’t a huge deal, as there are two shimmery off white shades. The individual pans are a good size, this is definitely a generous palette when it comes to product amount.

Texture

The matte shades in here are so creamy compared to other matte shades, I was really blow away when I first touched these. The shimmers almost feel wet on the fingers when you swirl into the pans. All of there colors swatch beautifully on the arm and wear so well on the eye. These blend out really well although I did see some patchy areas with the shimmery shades when applied with a brush. I definitely recommend spraying you brush first and picking up the product wet, or use your fingers to warm up the shadow when applying. These are very soft shadows so there is a bit of fall out in the palette, however I haven’t noticed any fall out of my face when applying these.

Swatches

These swatches were done of bare, clean skin. I did not use any primers on my skin before switching. I have inserted the color names into the photos to make it easier for everyone to understand. The swatches are done per row, (I started at the elbow and worked my way to the wrist, so technically these are the rows backwards, sorry about that).

Pros & Cons

Screen Shot 2017-09-03 at 3.48.48 PM

Overall

Overall, I think this palette is absolutely gorgeous and an insane deal. These are currently sold out of the Morphe website, but I have heard rumors of another launch for this!!

Disclaimers

This is not a sponsored post/AD. I purchased this palette with my own money.

This is my personal opinion. If you disagree, thats totally fine. Different opinions are welcome here and I would love to hear your thoughts in the comments!
